Twenty years of money well spent

Twenty years of money well spent

“Redundancy is a fact of life in many industries, but it doesn’t have to be an entirely negative experience if it happens to you. I invested part of an early, and generous, redundancy package in the Holiday Property Bond and we haven’t looked back since.”
– Robin Puplett

HPB is often, and erroneously, confused with ‘Time Share’. Our experiences prove how different it is.

We never set out to visit every Bond location, and we never will, but we have enjoyed visiting many of them, in both the UK and abroad: from Tuscany to Brittany, the Dordogne to the Algarve; and from the Trossachs to Sibton Park, St Brides to Barnham Broom, we’ve visited sites at all points of the compass. But our favourite is definitely Biniorella, in glorious Majorca, which we now consider to be our second home.

But this year, to celebrate 20+ years of being Bondholders, we booked visits in May, August and October. Our sun-worshipping children had craved a summer visit, so we decided to introduce them to a blast of Majorquin summer heat – and hot it was, gloriously so.

There are many reasons to visit Biniorella and Majorca has a lot to offer to almost everyone.

Virtually nowhere is difficult to get to – the (mostly) uncluttered motorways whisk you off to the East and North East in quick time, so places like Polenca, Alcudia, Manacor and Santanyi are easily accessible in little more than an hour. But if it’s adventure you want, then Valdemossa, Soller or the Tramuntana National Park are accessible via somewhat more hair-raising drives (not for the faint-hearted) – although Soller can also be accessed via the motorway and tunnel, or by a delightful train journey from Palma.

Palma itself has a lot to offer, whether your ‘bag’ is shopping, or attractions such as the cathedral or the aquarium.

But, to be honest, we really don’t need to trek too far for great company. We’ve built good relationships with everyone on site.

The children (all teenagers now) love the fact that they are free to do what they want – wander down to the beach or bakery in Camp De Mar, or down to Port Andratx – it really is a home-from-home.

Thank you HPB, for many brilliant holidays, a wonderful feeling of excellent and sustained quality of product and understanding when, occasionally, things go wrong.
