The Bond Companions Club – travelling solo, together…

The BCC is designed for all HPB members who are single, widowed, divorced or have a partner unable to travel. The Club is increasingly popular, with over 1,200 members – and growing all the time.

BCC Membership, Social Weekends and Midweek Breaks

Club Co-ordinator Liza Moore handles the membership and holds monthly Social Weekends and Midweek Breaks in some of Britain’s loveliest places as well as further afield in Guernsey, Jersey, Amsterdam and Bruges. Liza acts as Host and organises various things to do so that no-one need ever feel on their own. Whatever members do during the daytime, everyone meets up for dinner in the evenings.

A few comments about BCC Weekends:

“On behalf of all those attending the Bath Weekend, I wish to thank you for everything you did in planning and guiding us. It was much appreciated by us all.”

BCC member from Devon

“Joining the BCC has changed my life. I’ve had a wonderful time, as everyone is so friendly. I wish the BCC every success and thanks for the enjoyment and pleasure I have gained from my membership.”

BCC member from Yorkshire

“Thanks for organising a most enjoyable Weekend. My first one and rather daunting, but you and other members welcomed me. It takes a lot of thought and organisation for the Weekends to run so smoothly. Well done.”

BCC Holidays

A full programme of weekly holidays takes place throughout the year, organised by Margaret McAllister. Visiting popular HPB sites in the UK and overseas, members can join in with their fellow companions on various excursions and activities – or can do exactly as they please. Members then meet for dinner in the evenings. Some BCC Holidays are points-free or reduced points.

Some comments about BCC Holidays include:

“I would like to thank you for allaying my doubts about my first BCC Holiday. Having returned from Madeira, I can only report that I had a GREAT time! I even took it upon myself to teach some how to play bowls. I’ve wasted no time in booking my next trips.”

BCC member from Somerset

“I had to write to thank you for organising the recent BCC Holiday I’ve been on. It was absolutely brilliant! We all got on so well and had such a fabulous holiday that we vowed to meet again. Our only complaint was that it was too short!”

BCC member from Northampton
