Passing on the happiness

Passing on the happiness

Medical secretary Sarah Wilson, from Sheffield, grew up with the Holiday Property Bond and has many happy memories of family holidays with her mum and dad, Christine and Brian Lazenby. Thirty years ago,” she says, mum and dad made a modest investment in HPB, thanks to a recommendation by their bank manager and accountant, who were both Bondholders themselves. It turned out to be the best investment they ever made and theyve topped up' their Bond several times since!”

History repeating itself

Now Sarah, together with her husband David, a train driver, and daughter Emily, are enjoying rediscovering some of these treasured old haunts as well as discovering new ones.

Our favourite by far is Constant in the Dordogne, we love it there and try to go twice a year, in May and October. This May was our sixth visit. Its our second home!"

Earlier in the year we went to Tigh Mor Trossachs in Perthshire, which was stunning, we even had snow! It was enchanting. Weve also been to Stigliano in Tuscany, Santa Rosa on Lanzarote, Le Manoir du Hilguy in Brittany, Barnham Broom in Norfolk, Duloe Manor in Cornwall and Henllys in Anglesey to celebrate Mums 70th birthday."

Emily just loves all the activities, especially swimming and tennis,” continues Sarah. She first learned to swim at Stigliano. She also loves making friends and all the sites we have visited feel very safe so I have no issue with letting Emily go out to play. In the evening we always play a competitive game of HPB Monopoly, and at the end of our holiday we make a note of where we all are and what properties and money we have and then carry on the game on our next HPB holiday - the last game lasted three years!"

We have never been disappointed with any site we have visited, the standards are exceptional,” adds Sarah. For me, HPB takes one stress out of the equation knowing that your property, site and facilities will be of such a high standard. Even lifes little luxuries are standard. In a nutshell, we just love HPB holidays as a family. Were not Bondholders yet as work commitments dont always allow us to plan in advance, but its definitely something that we will invest in one day.”
